Dr. D. Jayarajan Course Director and Head, Dept of Medical Lab Technology, Divine Mother College, Korkadu, Puducherry and Former Professor in the Dept of Medical Lab Sciences, Chandigarh University Punjab. An outstanding researcher and good academician with vast experience of 18 years in academic/administration and 13 years in Research in various branches of Allied Health Sciences.
Dr. D. Jayarajan is specialized in Microbiology received his graduation from St.Joseph’s College of Arts & Sciences, Cuddalore (Madras University), Post Graduation in both Microbiology and Medical Lab Technology from Bharathidasan University, Trichy, TN and Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut respectively. And finally received his Doctoral degree in Microbiology from Bharathiar University,Coimbatore, TN with high comments.
Currently he is perusing his Doctorate in Science(D.Sc.,) from Manipal International university, Manipal which is most highest Degree offered in Indian Universities.
Being a life member in Indian Science Congress Association, He was a keen academician and researcher and has 16 patents and 29 research publications in both International and National journals and also submitted 34 gene sequences of various bacterial species in Gen Bank of NCBI, USA.
He was also serving as Editorial board member of more than 13 various reputed International journals and also edited a book entitled “Contempary Research in Environmental Science, Management, IT, Pharmaceutical and Social Sciences.(2022) with ISSBN: 978-93-92591-60-0.
He was also served as key note speaker in various Conferences/ Seminars and Induction programs.
He has organized Faculty Development programs for the betterment of his fellow faculty also.
He has received 5 Best paper award for his research findings at Various International and National conferences of Various universities
He was also honored with several awards including Sardar Vallabai Patel Life time achievement award for innovations in Research and Dr.Sarvapalli Radakrishnan Best Teacher award etc to his credits.

Standing at this millennium it is indeed privilege for me to share my thoughts and vision to our students and well wishers.
Today’s system of education designed so as to ensure creativity, technical ability, knowledge, innovative thinking and also to calibrate the extroversion of the students. But the real complication occurs in implementation of the curriculum which is highly controversial with the designed system of education and with the system of implementation in educational institutions.
In our country, millions of students are victim of an unrealistic, pointless, mindless rat race. The mind numbing competition and rote learning crush the creativity and originality of millions of students every year.
I have strong faith in natural growth, in-depth knowledge in subjects providing and provoking the creativity, stimulating hidden potential that make every student to be an unique personality with tremendous self esteem.
I always agree with the statement of teaching how to catch a fish instead of feeding fish for life time. Because our education system rarely rewards what deserves highest academic accolades. Here deviance is discouraged. Risk taking is mocked.
It is highly essential that our testing and marking systems need to be built to recognize original contributions, in form of creativity, problem solving, valuable original research and innovations.
The goal of our Divine Mother College is to create entrepreneurs, innovators, scientists, thinkers and academicians for shaping tomorrow’s society by providing innovative, understanding style and system of education at our best level.
